My name is Tyler Cooey, and I have worked in low voltage construction for 15+ years. During my time in the construction industry I have supported operations starting out as a technician for a company that had just started an Audio Visual Division. As time passed I worked along side the companies telecommunication group and their Security group. I was fortunate to get into the industry right as the transition to IP based audio visual was gaining real traction, I got to establish my experience with modern systems as the solutions evolved, while learning how they used to work in the days of analog systems. As time passed opportunities were presented to start supporting sales as a pre-construction based engineer. As I dove deeper into pre-construction a need for an internal CAD operator presented itself and I again jumped at the opportunity. Within a year I was producing all of our in house documents for all phases of project construction. As the company grew we brought in CAD techs and I started focusing on establishing a more compressive Engineering team. Eventually we established a strong Engineering core group that operated at the center of the company supporting both Sales and Operations based groups. Post Covid as the company simplified its model I moved back into the Technical Documentation generation role. In this role I worked closely with different Engineers, Sales People, and project operations teams as a documentation / support resource.

During my time supporting / creating Technical Documentation I often found myself looking to see if there was any type of affordable comprehensive On Demand Cad support services out there, while I found many larger well established service providers that would have been wonderful to work with, they ultimately proved to be cost prohibitive for the size projects we were working on a daily basis. The need for a small scale, cost effective option in my own professional carrier is what has lead me to start On The Fly Design.
